Many years ago, members of the Brightest Star Books team began learning about how to navigate today's world by improving mindset and attitudes in order to create the life experiences they desired. One of the things heard most often during this time was, "I sure wish I had learned some of these concepts as a child." "Life would have been so much easier and happier if I had known all of this back then." This is how Brightest Star Books was born. What if we could create a series of picture books with stories that would teach our children how to handle some of life's lessons and challenges in fun and innovative ways? What if we could create a generation of young people who handle things with less reaction and more proactive approaches that result in positive outcomes? Since you are here right now, you are part of our goal to achieving this. Reading our books and implementing the lessons will help us all create a more positive and joy-filled world. Thank You!
Donna began her writing career as a child, when she told so many stories - in class - that her teachers began encouraging her to write more (so she would talk less). Donna spent many years working with preschool and elementary students, teaching, designing curriculum, and writing and illustrating children's books for a world-renowned private school organization. She decided a few years ago that it was time to introduce her talents to more children and their parents, grandparents, and teachers. She currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, a land with beautiful places and people that inspire her to write her own stories now and share them with everyone in the world. Donna also firmly believes that reading is one of THE most important skills for success.
As adults, we encounter situations and conditions that may cause feelings of stress, anxiety, regret, sadness, guilt, remorse, scarcity. We have access to self-help books, empowerment seminars, meditation retreats, religion, therapy, and more. We can choose to become better, more empowered individuals by participating in some of these resources. What if we could have learned more of this when we were young? How much more prepared for life would we have been if we had grown up with all of the concepts that we have available today? That's what this series is all about. Valuable principles within fun and colorful picture books that adults can read with their young children and use to guide them toward better choices and behaviors.
